Anson County Water Position Title : Utility Maintenance Worker Salary Grade 59 Hiring Range : $32,105 - $33,710
General Description of Duties
To produce safe and clean water for Anson County. Employees in this classification performs a variety of maintenance and repair work on meters, service lines, and water distribution lines. Also, the employee will perform repair and maintenance on sewer lines. In conjunction with the stated duties, the employee will install new water and or sewer lines, water and sewer taps, and operate heavy equipment, such as a dump truck and excavator equipment. Employee will flag traffic in work zones as required.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting, grasping, talking and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to perform mechanical or other trades' tasks to perform visual inspections of small parts and machine operation, to use measurement devices, to determine the accuracy and completeness of work, to operate equipment and to keep records of activities.

Requirements
Minimum Training and Experience :
High school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver's license. Candidates with CDL's preferred.
