My client is a leading hedge fund based in New York, specializing in global equities and futures statistical arbitrage strategies. After strong recent performances, the team is looking to expand, with a focus on intraday systematic strategies. The team are primarily looking for a Senior Quantitative Researcher hire.
Role Overview:
The role will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative trading team that develops, tests, and implements systematic strategies for global equities and futures markets. The team trades primarily intraday strategies with a Sharpe Ratio above 3, and the role provides the opportunity to take on risk allocation and manage a portion of the team's capital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement intraday quantitative strategies for trading global equities and futures markets.
- Conduct in-depth research to uncover alpha signals, focusing on statistical arbitrage approaches.
- Develop models and algorithms to optimize execution, risk management, and trade performance.
- Collaborate with traders and other researchers to evaluate and refine trading strategies in real-time market conditions.
- Maintain and enhance risk management frameworks to ensure that strategies are properly calibrated to market conditions.
- Take ownership of a risk allocation, managing capital and optimizing its performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in intraday systematic strategies, preferably within equities and/or futures products.
- Expertise in statistical arbitrage models and quantitative research techniques.
- Strong track record of developing and deploying intraday trading strategies with Sharpe Ratios above 3.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C , or similar for algorithmic trading.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, trading infrastructure, and risk management.
- A Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering is preferred.
