What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creation Museum Guest Services Coordinator position at Answers In Genesis Group?
The Guest Services Coordinator must be able to control and manage the day-to-day running of a specific area, ensuring that the preparation and presentation of the area meets our high standards. The coordinator will oversee operations, guest services staff, etc. as assigned by the guest services manager or assistant managers. The coordinator leads a team of hourly staff to invest into the guest experience in critical guest engagement zones to answer questions. Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.

- Oversee and promote the spiritual, personal, and professional development of all team members being led.
- Frequently inspects guest engagement zones for brand standards and requests corrective action for any issues
- Frequently provides inspection calibrations of staff operations to ensure compliance with SOPs
- Offer specialized tactile experience presentations.
- Promotes the department vision of providing excellent service to all guests
- Stay up-to-date and prepared to answer guest questions regarding Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.
- Coordinates with Health and Safety and Department of Public Safety to ensure safe operations for staff and guests
- Be able to model strong guest engagement skills. Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills – ability to interact with guests and coworkers across all departments and levels.
- Ability to memorize and retain facts, procedures, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability to regularly work weekends, holidays, and occasional events outside of normal operating hours.
- Must have a neat appearance, dress professionally in uniform, and represent the ministry in a professional manner.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and converse with guests for up to five hours without a break and be able to move to different positions throughout an 8–10-hour day
- Exceptional ability to multitask and accurately follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess conflict resolution skills.
Education & Experience
- 2 years’ experience in hospitality, or similar industry
- Experience with POS systems in ticketing, retail, food service, or similar environment
- Degree (or significant progress toward a degree) in hospitality is a plus
