Event Front of House Specialist

The Event Front-of-House Specialist provides exceptional hospitality to attract guests inside the Answer Center, Legacy Hall and other attraction performance venues during summer concerts and music festivals, Christmastime programs, daily programming and other select events throughout the year. Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.

• Deliver exceptional guest service & hospitality to all event guests and day guests of the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum by greeting, directing, and answering questions related to the attraction and event information and wayfinding.
• Assist the Event Operations team in executing plans for front-of-house operations in the Answers Center Lobby and Auditorium, the Answers Center Lower Level, Noahs Village Stage, Legacy Hall, and other event and programming venues.
• Provide event guests with point-of-entry assistance and find satisfactory event seating in the Answers Center auditorium and other event spaces; also assist guests in exiting event spaces at the conclusion of programs and provide direction as needed to their next activity.
• Review daily schedule and stay current on attraction activities to inform the guests with accurate planning to maximize their day.
• Ensure the accuracy and correct placement of printed and digital schedules and signage in the Answers Center.
• Assist the Event Logistics Coordinator in maintaining a safe and inviting environment for Answers Center guests by ensuring that all spaces are set to baseline every morning and restored every evening and are clear of debris and any other safety hazards or unsightly items.
• Serve as a crowd control manager in the Answers Center or Legacy Hall
• Assist in the set-up, refreshing, and restoring of event spaces before, during, and following events and programs.
• And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
• Agrees to a flexible schedule across a 7-day week at either the Answers Center or the Creation Museum; able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work with performer personalities and demands.
• Hospitable and service-oriented, dedicated to guest satisfaction.
• Good attention-to-detail, problem-solving ability and decision-making skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, perform under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
• Able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Punctual: arriving at various locations in a timely manner

Education & Experience

• Related experience in an event center, performance venue, theatre or conference/retreat center environment that provides the required knowledge and ability to perform the above duties and responsibilities.
