Summary
The Truth Traveler Assistant Manager works alongside the General Manager of the Truth Traveler to ensure the successful daily operation of the Truth Traveler. This position is accountable for frictionless logistics and supporting departments to create a Christ-centered, family attraction impacting guests with life-changing experiences. This position has a career path that will develop your spiritual and professional growth goals by coaching a large staff in a God-honoring fashion to achieve great results by overcoming challenges in a positive and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.

- Oversee and promote the spiritual, personal, and professional development of all team members being led.
- Promote Department vision of creating a frictionless guest experience.
- Work closely with the General Manager of the Truth Traveler on daily operations supporting personnel management and the completion of strategic initiatives
- Work with department managers to analyze and investigate current tools and department needs to make recommendations to General Manager for items with strong ROI
- Assist departments in future planning by effectively communicating essential information, such as guest forecasts, event information and procedural changes
- Assist in the development and monthly evaluation of departmental revenue and expense budgets
- Assist in efficient utilization and allocation of personnel to minimize labor expenses while balancing against the requirements of exceptional customer service.
- Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs, and staffing requirements to move or store materials
- Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics for all operations departments by providing detailed forecasts and planning
- Frequently provides inspection calibrations to ensure compliance with SOPs and service standards
- Evaluate and update signage as needed to support a frictionless guest experience
- Actively develop and maintain a work atmosphere that enhances the professional and spiritual growth of all team members
- Cultivate an environment with high levels of staff engagement, recognition and appreciation
- Promote effective communication between all staff members, internal departments, external departments, and management
- And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- Customer service oriented, dedicated to high guest satisfaction levels
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making capabilities
- Ability to estimate and meet realistic deadlines, perform under pressure, and react quickly to changing priorities
- Leads by example, resolves conflicts, and ensures the timely and successful completion of tasks and objectives by effectively managing team performance, resources, and time.
- Willing to work long hours and be on foot for extended periods of time
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in business/management preferred
- 4-6 years’ leadership/management experience
- Experience in religious-themed (faith based) or family entertainment attractions
- Experience with attraction point-of-sale (POS) systems and staff scheduling tools
