The Truth Traveler Retail Specialist contributes to a positive retail experience for Truth Traveler guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about Answers in Genesis attractions and serving others, enthusiastic, energetic, an excellent multi-tasker, and able and willing to fill or change positions quickly. This position has a career path that will develop your spiritual and professional growth goals by working on a large team in a God-honoring fashion to achieve great results while having fun along the way. Work closely with the General Manager and others in leadership at the Pigeon Forge Truth Traveler attraction.
This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
- Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
- Assist guests with retail purchases in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Responsible for re-stocking merchandise, straightening displays and maintaining the cleanliness of the store.
- Assist with inventory and pricing as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for guests and staff by ensuring walkways are clear of products, boxes, and spills.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- Customer service skills: friendly and courteous with guests
- Strong oral communication skills: comfortable giving directions to guests
- Basic math skills: accuracy in cash and financial transactions with guests
- Good problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and move about throughout the attraction for the entire length of shift.
- Bend and lift between 25 to 75 pounds
