What you'll be doing:
- Providing timely and effective technical support to end users, becoming their trusted problem-solver.
- Championing and supporting a range of firm technologies, including those vital for meetings, video conferencing, presentations, and client events.
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure the seamless technical execution of meetings and events.
- Managing the installation and maintenance of standard software configurations on firm devices.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues in collaboration with other IT specialists.
- Ensuring the operational readiness of all office technology, from computers to printers.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date asset management records.
- Utilizing IT service management tools (like ServiceNow) to efficiently manage support tickets from start to finish.
- Taking ownership of user requests and keeping them informed every step of the way.
- Actively participating in firm-wide IT initiatives and training programs.
- Providing crucial support for mobile devices and remote access solutions (Citrix, VPN, etc.).
- Collaborating with network and telecom teams to address planned maintenance and unexpected outages.
- Upholding strict data security protocols and ensuring adherence to firm policies.
- Demonstrating flexibility with work hours when needed and a willingness to travel occasionally.
- Bringing a strong sense of reliability, professionalism, and self-drive to the team.
What you'll bring to the table:
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Office Suite.
- Proven experience with IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Proficiency in MS Teams and other collaborative tools.
- Expertise in remote access technologies (Citrix, VPN).
- Familiarity with iOS and mobile device management.
- A solid grasp of networking technologies and cabling systems.
- Experience with document management systems (preferably iManage).
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- A keen awareness of data security best practices.
- Project coordination or management experience is a plus!
Your background likely includes:
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, including LAN/WAN support.
- Hands-on experience with the configuration, installation, and maintenance of desktop operating systems and hardware.
- Crucially, prior experience working within a law firm is required.
