Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, mid-level Environmental, Health and Safety Professional in Salt Lake City, UT. This position is a part-time role that will be embedded with our client, 3 days per week. This assignment is anticipated to last through the remainder of 2025.

We are building and implementing EHS programs for a progressive, cutting-edge company that is growing quickly and constantly changing. Your key skills: flexibility and adaptability combined with a strong grasp of pertinent Federal and state-specific EHS regulations.

As an Environmental, Health and Safety Professional, you will be located at the client’s facility on a daily basis, and work with their EHS team to provide EHS services, solutions, programs, best practices and technical guidance. Your role: to effectively and efficiently ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations and mitigate EHS risks.

Essential Functions may include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate activities to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Developing, writing, and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs and procedures for a wide variety of industries; including biotech, life science, and pharmaceutical.
  • Prepare and review corporate and site-specific written programs, JHAs, PPE assessments, chemical hygiene plans and other health and safety program elements.
  • Work with the EHS Team and site stakeholders to perform risk assessments and support industrial hygiene assessments for chemical and noise exposures.
  • Conducting environmental, health and safety assessments at client locations requires an understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations and how they are applied within organizations.
  • Developing and presenting Health & Safety training modules.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, Environmental Science or related Science field.
  • 3-7 years of experience working with organizational health and safety, ideally on a global scale.
  • Experience in the Biotech, Pharmaceutical and/or life sciences industry experience is a plus
  • Must have a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and their applicability. Further understanding of NFPA, DOT, and/or EPA.
  • ASP/GSP/CSP/CIH certification is a plus. Willingness to attain relevant certification within an agreed-to time frame, if not yet certified.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety standards, regulations, and programs and/or experience working on international projects, a plus.
  • Experience developing and implementing EHS management systems such as OSHMS
  • Experience developing and implementing EHS management systems such as OSHA VPP, OSHAS 18001 (ISO 45001), and ISO 14001 is desired.
  • Able to work independently with an attention to details and manage multiple clients and projects.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Potential employees must pass a company-paid physical examination, drug-screen and have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements / Work Environment - Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:

  • Sedentary to light work (typical office or administrative work)
  • Frequently required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25-49lbs) weight objects
  • Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching)
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change)
  • Operation of motor vehicle

Additionally, if you are assigned work in the field at client project sites you will need to complete a medical surveillance/fitness-for-duty examination and maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:

  • Medium to heavy work
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions: heat/cold, wind, wet and/or humid, etc.
  • Occasional stooping (bending body downward and forward), kneeling (bending legs at the knee), crouching (bending body downward and forward), and climbing
  • Frequent lifting (including push/pull, hold/carry) of light, moderate, and possibly heavy-weight objects
  • Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, including but not limited to: proximity to moving vehicles, parts, or equipment; exposure to chemicals; pressure (including noise); electrical hazards; biological hazards; excavation/trenching; confined spaces; elevated work; materials handling
  • May be required to wear an air-purifying respirator

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The hourly range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant’s job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
