Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist in the development and implementation of designs utilizing SolidWorks CAD under the direction of experienced engineers. FEA simulations, prototyping as well as tolerance analysis are included in the design process. Support of RF technicians during fabrication of engineering builds of complex products will provide experience of bringing designs to production. . The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to student with proven academic performance and leadership potential.
Essential Functions

- Perform basic product design modifications.
- Develop basic detail and assembly drawings for products and equipment.
- Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support existing products.
- Create 3-D models from 2-D drawings using SolidWorks.
- Generate and scan prints.
- Ability to perform mechanical design calculations.
- Test prototypes and standard products and write reports to document the results.
- Categorize a wide arrangement of existing parts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
Attending a two-year or four-year college for Design or Mechanical Engineering major
