Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Inventory Clerk for our Laurel, MD facility who will receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom or warehouse. They will assist the Inventory Specialist with keeping records and compiling stock reports. The Inventory clerk will assist in compiling and maintaining material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas by performing the required duties.
Essential Functions
- Pulling, counting, and issuing components to work orders for production.
- Performing daily cycle counts to improve inventory accuracy.
- Assisting with daily stocking/put away transactions for materials.
- Processing and completion of work orders into the stockroom locations.
- Organizing and arranging layout for more effective stockroom flow and maintaining stockroom cleanliness.
- Gathering information to support slow moving inventory reductions.
- Leading and assisting annual physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Assisting with parts going out for outside processing such as chromate, anodize, brazing, etc.
- Assisting with expediting material through internal operations (from MS, to Iridite, to Paint)
- Work with Machine Shop on status of raw material work orders.
- Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
- Work with production to address any shortages or damaged parts.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as required.

Experience and Skills
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- 1 plus years of experience
- Must be experienced in the use of MS Windows based computers, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access Data-Entry).
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar production planning database software is a plus.
- Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level.
- Ability to stand for long periods.

- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
