About the Role:
We are searching for a DeltaV automation engineer to design, implement, and support Emerson DeltaV systems for pharmaceutical clients while ensuring compliance with S88 standards. This role involves managing projects, configuring systems, troubleshooting, and collaborating to deliver reliable automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for pharmaceutical clients.
- Design, develop, configure, and test DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for process automation applications.
- Create functional specifications, design documentation, and conduct rigorous testing to ensure system reliability and compliance.
- Demonstrate expertise in S88 / Batch Proficiency, Biotech processes, and automation best practices.
- Manage all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial design through to system commissioning and operational support.
- Configure and program automation systems including Control Modules (CMs), Equipment Modules (EMs), Unit Classes, Recipes, Controllers, and Graphics to meet client specifications.
- Provide support for Non-Conformance (NC), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Root Cause Analysis, and automation Change Control management.
- Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and optimize automation systems, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and clients, to deliver successful automation solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Bio-Process Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience with Emerson DeltaV automation solutions, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience from design to commissioning is advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer, DCS Software Engineer, or in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful DeltaV system implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of S88 Batch processes and industry standards for automation in biotech and pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong experience in programming, system configuration, and troubleshooting of DeltaV systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, GxP, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
