Job Summary
Our Bookkeeper operates as the professional, assisting clients’ financial reports amongst our tax preparation team. The Bookkeeper is to record daily financial transactions, such as income, expenses, payments and receipts. In addition to preparing high-level Profit and Loss Statements (personal & business), General Ledgers and Balance Sheets, our Bookkeeper role closes books on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. The Bookkeeper is expected to provide full financial reports, insight, and assistance to all departments on tax return-related inquiries. It is their primary responsibility to determine what the most beneficial & ethical outcome for the clients’ returns, then deliver that outcome by preparing the statements with detail and presenting them to our clients. Our Bookkeeper ultimately operates as a role model to the tax preparation team in regards to both the art of bookkeeping, as well as client relations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Updating and reconciling accounts and general ledger.
· Prepare and file financial reports, statements, and tax documents.
· Prepare a variety type of financial reports and returns, including Sales Tax Returns.
· Meet corresponding deadlines with the IRS and/or State.
· Assist tax preparers with financial-related questions.
· Collaborate with the department manager & other departments to best service the client.
· Strategize best courses of action with clients, Tax Preparers, and Tax Preparation Admin.
· Prepare payroll reports and tax deductions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· CTEC Certified, Licensed Tax Preparer and is in good standing with the IRS.
· 5 Years of tax preparation experience (leadership experience preferred).
· Effective communication and client relations skills.
· Ability to manage a large client base with deadlines, urgency, & prioritization management.
· 5 years of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Software & CRM experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
