Position Summary
The Junior Web Developer position at Anthologic is a role for passionate new developers who want to sharpen their skills in a positive environment that invites collaboration and new ideas. In this position you will play an important supporting role in building, developing and maintaining client websites throughout the entire development process, from discovery to QA testing, launch and ongoing thereafter.

Support build outs of user interfaces and WordPress themesWebsite development QA and thorough testingImplement website edits and upgrades in a sprint environment, partnering with cross-functional agency teamsConduct routine and regular website maintenance on existing client websitesOptimizing website page speed, performance and SEOSupport the Lead Developer in developing high quality, secure websites that deliver best-in-class user experience and top-notch backend performanceAssist with integrating client websites and forms with marketing automation platformsQualifications
0-2 years of experience in software development or operations engineeringB.S. in Computer Science or related engineering field or comparable experience (certificates / certifications and / or relevant past projects)Working knowledge with various CMS platforms and plug-ins (WordPress, Webflow, Yoast, ACF etc.)Understanding of front-end development using HTML, CSS (Sass) and Javascript (vanilla / plain and jQuery)Understanding of PHP and MySQL, understanding of RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) a plusExperience with website hosting and relative technologies : DNS, SSL, CDNs, etc.Basic understanding of website security principles, cross-browser compatibility issues and accessibility guidelines (WCAG A and AA)Excellent written and verbal skills with high attention to detailDetail-oriented and quality-focused approachAbility to collaborate well with cross-functional agency teamsBonus : Experience in partnering with marketing automation teams using platforms like Adobe Marketo, Hubspot or Account Engagement (Salesforce)Bonus : Experience with building email templates or working with email-specific HTML
