- Supervise and manage field crews for heavy highway projects, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project schedules and plans.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively, maintaining open communication with all team members.
- Enforce safety standards and provide training to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Prepare daily reports on project status, workforce, and material usage.
- Maintain compliance with project specifications, union agreements, and prevailing wage requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within heavy highway construction or a similar industry.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Civil / Heavy Highway construction.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple crews and tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of commercial, government, and union construction practices and protocols.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to company-specific processes and methodologies.
- Familiarity with construction management software (HeavyJob) is a plus but not required.
