The Job Requirements
This is a full-time on-site role located in Ambler, PA, where you will work as an Estimator/Project Manager or Assistant Estimator/Project Manager. Key responsibilities include:
Main Responsibilities
- Cost estimation and management for Site, Concrete, Demo, and Excavation Projects.
- Preparation and analysis of project plans and bid documents.
- Coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitoring and maintaining project costs throughout the construction process.
- Identifying and addressing potential project risks and challenges.
- Maintenance and updates of estimating databases with historical cost records.
- Development and implementation of strategies to improve internal Estimating/PM software processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the Site, Concrete, Demo, or Excavation Construction Industry for the Estimator/Project Manager position.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the Site, Concrete, Demo, or Excavation Construction Industry for the Assistant Estimator/Project Manager position.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local Philadelphia industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with all involved parties.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficient in Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar takeoff/document management software.
- Experience using Bid 2 Win (B2W) software is a plus.
