Compensation : Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and a consideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position. The minimum salary for this position based on residential location, is : CA $69,300.00, WA $67,410.00, Other locations : $63,000.00.

The School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy (CPT) at Antioch University invites applications for three full-time Teaching Faculty members with the Couple and Family Therapy Program at Antioch University.
Antioch University Master of Arts degree in Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) provides students with the training and clinical experience necessary to become licensed as Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs). Our students develop the knowledge, skills, self-awareness, and clinical competencies as marriage and family therapists (MFTs) in alignment with professional and national standards to work with children and adults individually or as part of a relational system. Students graduate with the ability to provide ethical, skilled, socially just, and anti-racist couple and family therapy to a diverse array of clients.
Within the MA degree, students are able to specialize in one of two cutting edge fields-art therapy or dance movement therapy-and / or to obtain certifications in coveted areas such as play therapy, sex therapy, gender affirming clinical practice, sexuality education, and addiction studies. Values of ethical practice, social responsibility, anti-racism, and cultural diversity are central parts of the CFT curricula, and students receive a balance of traditional and contemporary perspectives in the MFT field.
The CFT Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE), and Antioch University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Job Description
Antioch University Seattle Teaching Faculty members engage in teaching and institutional citizenship. The successful applicant will teach graduate courses and supervise students' clinical training. This position is full-time (100% FTE).
Responsibilities for this position include :
- Teach 24 credits of direct instruction per year.Course assignments will be made on an annual basis in consultation with the CFT Chair in light of specific individual and program needs
- Advise up to 15 students in the CFT program, including the assessment of academic progress and assistance with arrangements for non-curricular resources (internships, independent studies, etc.), help with other aspects of the students' relationship with the educational environment at the University, and completion of final reviews related to graduation
- Conduct admission interviews with applicants and make recommendations regarding admissions decisions in individual cases; follow up with situations involving conditional admissions which require additional monitoring
- Participate in all scheduled department, faculty, and program meetings and retreats to discuss implementation of policy and procedures, development of strategic objectives and directions, and topics in teaching / advising, student standards, adjunct faculty relations, accreditation, and curriculum development
- Serve on University special committees, task forces, and campus-wide faculty leadership; attend all-community events
- Serve as Teaching Liaison for various content areas in the CFT Program curriculum to ensure quality of teaching and assist in problem resolution.Liaison activities may include recruiting adjunct faculty in the specified content areas, consulting on syllabus development, monitoring mid-quarter and final course evaluations, providing feedback to adjunct faculty about quality of teaching, and providing consultation for problematic student situations
- Participate in activities for professional development (conferences, seminars, workshops, courses) as relevant to areas of special expertise and interest
- Actively engage in the clinical practice and / or supervision of therapy as a state licensed or certified clinician
