Core Faculty, Couple & Family Therapy Program (remote) Posting Date : August 2, 2024The School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy (CPT) at Antioch University invites applications for a full-time Core Faculty member with the Couple and Family Therapy Program at Antioch University Seattle.Antioch University Seattle’s Master of Arts degree in Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) provides students with the training and clinical experience necessary to become licensed as Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) in Washington State. Our students develop the knowledge, skills, self-awareness, and clinical competencies as marriage and family therapists (MFTs) in alignment with professional and national standards to work with children and adults individually or as part of a relational system. Students graduate with the ability to provide ethical, skilled, socially just, and anti-racist couple and family therapy to a diverse array of clients.The CFT Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE), and Antioch University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Intentional, dynamic integration of theory and practice is a hallmark of an Antioch education, as is our emphasis on multicultural counseling, ethical practice, and social responsibility. Antioch is committed to educating students to become informed, effective practitioners and change agents in a diverse world.Primary ResponsibilitiesAntioch University Seattle Core Faculty members engage in teaching, research, institutional citizenship, and service. The successful applicant will teach graduate courses and supervise students’ clinical training. This position is full-time (100% FTE).Teach 24 quarter-credits of direct instruction per year. Course assignments will be made on an annual basis in consultation with the CFT Chair in light of specific individual and program needs.Advise up to 15 students in the CFT program, including the assessment of academic progress and assistance with arrangements for non-curricular resources (internships, independent studies, etc.).Conduct admission interviews with applicants and make recommendations regarding admissions decisions.Participate in all scheduled department, faculty, and program meetings and retreats.Serve on University special committees, task forces, and campus-wide faculty leadership.Serve as Teaching Liaison for various content areas in the CFT Program curriculum.Actively engage in scholarship, professional dialogue, and community service.Participate in activities for professional development.Actively engage in clinical practice and / or supervision of therapy as a licensed clinician in the State of Washington.BenefitsVoluntary Health, dental and vision plan and flexible spending account options; employer retirement plan contribution of 6%; voluntary salary deduction to a pre-tax or post-tax retirement account; employer paid life insurance and short term disability; voluntary supplemental life insurance, long-term disability, accidental death / dismemberment, critical illness, and accident coverage plans; 12 days per year sick leave (carry-over up to 65 days); tuition remission for employees and dependents at Antioch University campuses.QualificationsRequired QualificationsDoctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.AAMFT Approved Supervisor or AAMFT Supervisor in Training.Identify professionally primarily as a Marriage and Family Therapist.Licensed or license-eligible as a marriage and family therapist.Prior teaching experience at the university level, preferably at the graduate level.Commitment to anti-racist principles in teaching and clinical work.Preferred QualificationsAbility to complement and build on existing strengths within the department.Expertise in one or more of the following areas : couple and family therapy research and assessment, social justice theories pertaining to systemic therapy, or research and / or clinical work with a focus on social justice and multicultural issues.Online or low-residency instruction experience.Interest or experience in experiential education and remote learning pedagogical methods.Job OverviewJob Type : Full timeSalary Information : WA $73,343.88, CA $74,978.75, Base $68,162.50Application Instructions : Please submit the following documents with your application :
