Custodial Cashier

Job Summary: The Carlisle Antique Mall is seeking a dedicated and versatile Custodial Cashier to join our team. This role involves a combination of customer service, custodial duties, and maintenance responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the mall. The ideal candidate will be friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a variety of tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Cashiering:

• Take customer payments accurately and efficiently as a cashier.
• Greet and assist customers with inquiries and purchases.
• Be the point of contact for contractors performing jobs at the mall.

Maintenance and Custodial Duties:

• Identify and promptly communicate maintenance issues to the administrator.
• Open and close the mall, ensuring all windows are closed, lights are off, and no one remains inside.
• Perform routine checks on each floor for maintenance needs.
• Put up and remove signs as needed.
• Change lightbulbs with assistance when required.
• Assist with moving furniture for customer pick-ups.
• Clean restrooms and handle minor plumbing issues such as plunging toilets.
• Take out the trash regularly.
• Perform outdoor maintenance tasks including pulling weeds, spraying weed killer, and applying insecticide spray on each floor.
• Keep the front of the mall and parking lot clean, using a leaf blower to remove dead leaves when necessary.

Banking and Financial Duties:

• Make cash deposits and obtain change from the bank as needed.
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy and responsibility.

Additional Duties:

• Travel to different locations occasionally to perform additional tasks, including cutting grass.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work independently.
• Clean driver's license.
• Background check will be performed.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Basic maintenance and custodial skills.
• Willingness to travel to different locations as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Physical job requiring regular lifting, bending, and walking.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $14.69 - $15.28 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
