Human Resources Specialist

As a Human resources specialist, you are a key member of the HR team, focused on onboarding, enhancing the employee experience, managing safety programs (training, accident reporting, and workers' compensation), maintainnig HR systems, backing up payroll processes, administering benefits, and supporting wellness programs. This role is located at our US Headquarters in Ashland, VA. 

The base salary range for this position is $59,200/year to $67,000/year. We offer full benefits, a profit-sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years.

Anton Paar USA is a for-profit sales and service organization in the Anton Paar Group, privately owned by the charitable Santner Foundation with its headquarters in Graz, Austria.

Responsibilities include:

• Supports HR systems entry and payroll/benefits processing, performs payroll backup, and resolves HR-related issues
• Manages HR programs and processes related to employee experience, including new hire onboarding and training.
• Promotes employee health and safety through safety training and wellness programs, policy and procedure development, safety committee facilitation and manages customer compliance sites.
• Maintains the quality manual, serves as the contact person for general quality-related matters, and coordinates customer questionnaires.

Skills and qualifications you will need:

• Associate degree   
• 2 years of experience in one of the following fields HR administration, safety, and/or quality (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• SHRM certification is a plus
• Excellent time management, prioritizing, and organizational skills are essential
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and presentation skills
