Construction Project Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager with specialized experience in NYC Parks and Recreation projects to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for a proactive and dedicated individual who has a deep understanding of construction management processes and a passion for enhancing urban green spaces. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet all objectives including timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and oversee construction projects, specifically focusing on parks and recreation areas, including tree planting and landscape improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with city officials, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
• Conduct site inspections and project meetings to monitor progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Utilize expertise in NYC Parks and Recreation projects to navigate regulatory, environmental, and community engagement challenges.
• Provide detailed project documentation and reports to stakeholders and upper management.
• Estimate job costs, prepare bids, and propose budgets for potential projects.
• Mentor and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a construction management role, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed NYC Parks and Recreation projects, especially those involving tree planting and landscaping.
• Proven ability to manage complex construction projects from inception to completion, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in job estimation and the preparation of bids is highly desirable.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to various project sites within New York City.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
