Position Summary: Partners with Team Leader(s) to make our customers successful by embracing AJA’s Vision. Responsible for operating CNC equipment to create components per specifications and standard operating procedures.
Essential Role Responsibilities
• Operates and completes set-ups on machining equipment, troubleshoots and makes adjustments to the equipment as necessary.
• Machines stainless steel, aluminum, and a variety of plastic parts as needed.
• Fit parts to very close tolerances, fabricating materials as needed.
• Works with leaders to ensure quality control on product lines and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Reports concerns, issues, and shortages to appropriate leader in timely manner.
• Ensures proper finish according to blueprints, routing, and bill of materials.
• Maintains clean and functional workstations and the adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Working knowledge of engineering principles.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, diagrams, work orders, specification manuals, and plans to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting verification & validation tests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by department team leader(s).
Qualifications
• Organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (i.e., ability to navigate Windows).
• Must be self-motivated, a team player with the ability to work in multi-task environment.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, calipers, squares, test equipment, micrometers, and in-circuit testers.
• Action and detail oriented, results driven, ability to make decisions, work independently and as a team.
• Ability to differentiate colors, use basic hand tools, read engineering blueprints and bill of materials.
• Ability to operate most fabrication equipment, and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of production/quality standards, and assembly procedures/processes
• A strong technical understanding of automation equipment including but not limited to hydraulics,
pneumatics, motors, and electronic actuators.
• Critical communication with supervisors, peers, and customers
• Strong knowledge of machining practices and how part tolerances affect machining requirements.
• Must be a team player with the ability to work in multi-task. Must be flexible to work in a cross functional environment.
