What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Any Day Now?
Any Day Now all day cafe in Navy Yard is looking for a sous chef who will work with the leadership team and Executive Chef’s Tim Ma and Matt Sperber in providing a first-in-class operation.
Roles and responsibilities of Chef de Cuisine:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef in the daily operation and maintenance of the culinary operations
- Responsible for supervising and supporting the culinary team, team member training, and supervising the preparation of all food items
- Responsible for accurate production of menu items to specifications
- Maintains adequate par levels of a variety of menu components
- Supervise and participates in cooking during service periods
- Communicate efficiently with co-workers, guests, and executive management.
- Schedule culinary team members according to business levels
- Ordering, inventory, and responsible for overall food costs
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to write new recipes for new menu items, and
adjust existing recipes where necessary
