Position Overview : HVAC Install Manager – Atlanta Metro Area
As the HVAC Install Manager , you will lead a dynamic team of HVAC Installation Technicians, overseeing residential heating, cooling, and ventilation installations. Your leadership will drive top-quality work , exceptional customer service , and productive performance , all while meeting key business goals and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Sales Manager to execute business strategies and achieve goals.
- Manage department operations, including costs, manpower , and gross profit margins to ensure all residential HVAC installations meet budget expectations.
- Lead Install Technicians, leveraging key metrics to drive team performance and help achieve company targets.
- Oversee revenue forecasting and actual performance to ensure financial goals are met.
- Ensure that all Install Technicians are well-trained and prepared by providing or scheduling ongoing technical training tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Lead recruitment efforts for skilled Install Technicians using various sourcing methods such as referrals and networking.
- Communicate effectively with each technician to set clear goals and expectations, holding the team accountable for performance.
- Lead high-energy, productive team meetings to focus on customer service, equipment knowledge, and skill development.
- Assist the sales team with any installation-related questions and coordinate with install coordinators to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage team schedules to ensure coverage meets sales demands and customer needs.
- Oversee payroll management for Install Technicians, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Work closely with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels of materials and equipment.
- Prepare for upcoming jobs by ordering materials and ensuring the next day's installations are staged and ready.
- Ensure timely permitting, equipment rentals, labor needs, and other operational requirements are met.
- Track the daily performance of Install Technicians, driving progress toward performance goals and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular site visits and provide in-field training to engage and motivate your team.
- Manage customer issues efficiently, resolving any concerns quickly and professionally.
- Oversee truck cleanliness and inventory, submitting purchase requests as needed.
