Intervention Specialist

Overview
The Intervention Specialist plays a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate educational resources and guidance. This position involves working closely with children, especially those with disabilities, to foster an inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills and a passion for educating young minds, particularly in preschool settings.

Duties

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them navigate their educational journey.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive support system for students.
• Employ learning technology and innovative teaching methods to engage students effectively.
• Address conflicts and behavioral challenges through conflict management strategies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to ensure academic success.
• Provide childcare support during various school activities and events.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
• Strong understanding of classroom management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with academic advising techniques and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in conflict management and resolution techniques.
• Knowledge of learning technology tools that enhance the educational experience.
• A background in early childhood education or preschool teaching is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $37.68 - $45.32 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
