Anzer Animal Hospital in Palm Beach County is looking for one veterinary administrative Assistant to join our strong team to assist our pharmacy manager lead tech, technicians and doctors. We are located at 14471 Southern Blvd, Loxahatchee, Fl.
Our ideal candidate must love animals; needs to have critical thinking skills, high IQ, attention to detail and the ability to multitask, within a strong team environment. Responsibilities:
- Data entry
- Work with inventory
- Order and stock medications
- Prepare samples for shipment
- Fill prescriptions
- Answering phones
- Inform doctors and techs regarding received results
- Unpack and put away inventory as its received.
- Rotate stock and check for expired medications.
- Consistently provide exceptional service to internal customers.
- Attend and participate in all required staff meetings.
- Perform other related duties as directed by the doctors, hospital manager and veterinary technicians
- Perform veterinary assistant and kennel duties as needed
Qualifications
- Highschool degree
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
- Will be expected to learn basic medical terminology
- Must be efficient, friendly, courteous, and helpful to all clients and coworkers, in all situations
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task to optimize efficiency
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Will maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Must understand and support the Hospital’s mission and overall direction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
