A respected site development company specializing in underground utilities, sewer, grading, clearing, drainage, and all pre-vertical construction work is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager/Estimator. This role requires a self-starter who can manage projects efficiently, build client relationships, and drive business development efforts.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will manage and estimate projects while also serving as a liaison to foster relationships with clients and secure both private and public project opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the company's growth and support leadership in key operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and estimate grading, underground utilities, drainage, and site development projects.
- Utilize 3D estimating software effectively (Ag-Tek preferred).
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
- Represent the company in business development efforts, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and prepare competitive and accurate bid proposals.
- Supervise project teams, including site superintendents and subcontractors, to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Proactively address project challenges to keep operations on track.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Demonstrated expertise in grading estimation and project management. Candidates should be ready to contribute without requiring additional training.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D estimating software (Ag-Tek preferred).
- Strong understanding of grading, clearing, and underground utility work.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
Additional Information:
- A stable work history is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with private and public bid processes is a plus.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
