What You Will Be Doing/Need for this Position
- Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates on which we base competitive bids and proposals
- Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
- Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
- Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
- Work on change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of on-going projects.
- Help create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
- Perform job handoffs from estimating to operations through clearly demonstrating detailed scopes of work, specifications and job specific conditions
* Valid Driver's License and Identification Information
- The successful candidate will have electrical experience and be familiar with commercial and residential work
- Schedule and attend walk-throughs for new projects
- Project management and coordination
- Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- 10 years of electrical estimating experience
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Has on-site electrical experience
- Strong understanding of estimating software
- Strong team mentality
- Experience in MS Office Suite, Procore, Accubid, LiveCount, McCormick, and ConEst preferred
- Project list or bid list preferred not required
- Must be able to work independently at times
- Basic knowledge of current means and methods of electrical installations
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
- Willing to Help with Project Management
- Full knowledge and understanding of all electrical products, equipment, and installation procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to Relocate:
- Wilmington, NC 28403: Relocate before starting work (Required)
