Position Overview :
Under the general direction of the Director of Operations, the Production Manager is responsible for Production order completion for outdoor products and electro optics. The Production Manager ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders in accordance with customer requirements. This position is a leadership and managerial role requiring the individual to perform a wide array of duties necessary to fulfill the mission and strategic objectives of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff
- Mentoring new production team leaders
- Create and plan production schedules to meet customer orders
- Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization accident-free
- Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
- Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Establishing a balance between productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
- Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety and quality
- Communicate with sales team daily on status of shipments, issues, priorities, etc.
- Manage and maintain the process to ensure high levels of inventory control
- Work safely and ensure the entire logistics staff works safely
- Identify and report any safety hazards immediately
- Attend safety training and follow all company safety rules
- Maintain good housekeeping in personal area and all commons areas
- Other duties as assigned

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment :
Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. The work environment is like most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
