Job Title: Process Operator 1
Department: Production - Resins
Schedule: Scheduled 8 hr. shifts, Monday thru Friday 5 days a week. Overtime is mandatory some Saturday and or Sunday work will be required.
Job Description: Set up and operate mix tanks, thin tanks, storage tanks, hock Meyer, process pumps, filters and other equipment used to formulate finished products and base resins utilizing the DCS and manual operations as required.
Access tank wagon hatches. Load/fill tank trucks, tank cars, drums, totes, and other containers as necessary. Perform housekeeping duties per expectations. Perform facility inspections (Rounds) as needed or instructed.
Possess the ability or can obtain an understanding of the operation of various computer control systems like, Delta V, QUBE, PS2 and Email. Generate batch tickets and record operational data as required utilizing a computer to manipulate programs. Meet or exceed safety, quality, and cycle time expectations. The candidate must also be able via training (by seniority) to acquire the ability to operate the alkyd manufacturing process when and as needed (Operator 2). Applicant must first qualify as Operator 1 and then based on seniority will be trained for Operator 2 position.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the workday. Possess basis reading, math, and computer skills. Must be able to operate all processing equipment required to perform duties in a safe, effective, and efficient manner, including forklifts. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely. Must be able to don a respirator when needed. Must be able to endure continuous walking throughout the workday. TN. Resin Plant Experience is a Plus!
Orientation Period: Up to 90 days depending on experience.
