Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both commercial and residential cleaning tasks.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Maintain and clean floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming.
- Conduct thorough industrial cleaning as needed to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized; report any shortages or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness across all facilities.
- Respond promptly to any urgent cleaning requests or spills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
