We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
- Buff floors to maintain a polished appearance and extend the life of flooring materials.
- Conduct residential painting as needed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of facilities.
- Carry out commercial and industrial cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and performing deep cleaning as required.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues to management.
- Serve as a porter by transporting items or supplies as needed throughout the facility.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
Skills
- Proficiency in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
- Experience in custodial work within residential, commercial, or industrial settings is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management regarding maintenance needs.
