What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher/Academic Guide position at AOC?
Monday-Friday 8a-2pm
Academy of Creatives is a microschool/homeschool learning pod center for homeschoolers, virtual learners and learners transitioning to non traditional education settings K-8th grade!
- We provide individual learning path guidance
- Small academic coach to learner ratios
- Creative hands on and STEAM based learning
- lead Academic Coach in teaching, monitoring and supporting learners within the learning pod.
-Create lesson plans and provide lesson assistance in form you choose.
- Provide support to learners guiding them through their academic work and online work when needed.
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Support students in their literacy and math development.
- Collaborate with otherAcademic Coaches to plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities.
-Collaborate with lead Academic Coach to implement engaging weekly enrichment days.

- Experience or knowledge in child development or education.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and implement behavior management strategies.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with the academic coaches and parents.
- Knowledge of literacy education and math concepts for childhood development.
This position requires a passion for working with children, patience, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
