The Ecommerce Director orchestrates all aspects of a strategic ecommerce plan by combining existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology, and management to deliver a superior brand and shopping experience for all customers. The best candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in eCommerce and leading a team of 3 Supervisors and 5 Coordinators.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Be a key component in developing the effective planning and execution of an ecommerce strategy, working cross-functionally with teams within and outside of the department.
Participate in developing and directing our team of ecommerce professionals to effectively help develop and execute creative ecommerce solutions.
Provide thought leadership, innovation, and process optimization initiatives such as implementing ecommerce software and other industry best practices.
Compile and present on going key metrics to management and other department supervisors to assist in measuring goal achievement as well as consideration for company direction.
Stay abreast of the latest industry developments and identify new areas of ecommerce opportunities beyond current brand offering.
Partner with key cross-functional departments to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Read, write, and speak fluent English
Excellent organizational skills
Effective leadership and people management skills
Knowledge of data driven marketing within the e-commerce industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of business and management principles and practice within the e-commerce industry
Knowledge of strategic planning
Ability to travel by automobile or airplane
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4-year college degree from an accredited university in business or related field of study; or equivalent combination of education and experience
6 years marketing & sales experience in an e-commerce environment
6 - 10 years marketing management experience with a group of 8 employees
Highly proficient with computers and internet; Excel – Intermediate to Expert proficiency; Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Word
