Role Description
This is a full-time, semi-remote role for a Structural Engineer based out of our New Orleans, LA office. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for:
- Performing structural analysis and calculations
- Designing structural systems using applicable codes and standards
- Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and internal QA/QC protocols
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and internal team members
- Utilizing CAD and engineering software for design and documentation
This position requires clear communication with clients and project teams to ensure that all structural deliverables align with project goals and timelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Structural Engineering principles and Structural Analysis
- Strong understanding of Civil Engineering fundamentals
- Required software proficiency: Revit and Microsoft Excel
- Preferred experience with: RISA, SharePoint, and other structural design tools
- Solid problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
