Bookkeeper

Job Summary

AP Dodson Construction is seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. We are a 3rd generation home builder located in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Duties

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger.
• Prepare and process payroll, including tax filings.
• Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
• Handle other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• 3 years of experience in related field
• Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks online).
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
