AP Professionals has been retained exclusively to partner with a premier, family-run electrical contractor who has been in business for decades in search of a Project Manager. The Project Manager will lead construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to exacting standards. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, excellent communication, and a talent for resolving challenges with diplomacy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules, site-specific safety plans, submittals, material procurement, building permits, as-built drawings, and design-build documentation.
- Monitor and forecast job costs using Work In Progress (WIP) reporting requirements.
- Oversee all phases of project management, from inception to completion.
- Provide expertise in electrical installation and design to support project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to expand the client base.
- Ensure all installations and repairs meet customer expectations and adhere to the highest quality standards.
- Prepare and price change orders for project adjustments.
- Attend and actively participate in job, scheduling, and design/BIM meetings.
- Develop and submit accurate job estimates.
- Oversee labor, materials, tools, and equipment to ensure project efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior company leadership to align project plans with organizational goals.
- Work with team members to create detailed plans for efficient project execution.
- Delegate tasks effectively, leveraging team members’ skills to maintain project timelines.
- Coordinate with other teams or departments to integrate efforts for seamless project delivery.
- Track project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet objectives.
- Provide guidance and strategies to team members to streamline task completion.
- Design and implement performance metrics to measure and enhance project outcomes.
- Evaluate performance metrics post-project to identify successes and areas for improvement for future planning.
Experience
- Proven track record of managing complex and diverse projects in the construction or related industries.
- Experience level tailored to the specific Project Manager role, reflecting increasing responsibility and expertise within the organization.
