Job Overview
Join our client's Engineering & Construction Business Unit as a Principal Engineer Substation and play a key role in advancing high-voltage substation projects. You will manage projects from conception through commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of substation projects, from Early Stage to Execution.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to define engineering requirements during the conceptual phase.
- Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (IEEE, NESC, ASCE, etc.).
- Secure engineering resources and evaluate external consultants for project support.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop substation sites and secure necessary permits.
- Source and manage vendors for geotechnical, survey, and construction services.
- Align project designs with interconnection agreements and ISO requirements.
- Manage procurement of long-lead materials to mitigate risks of delays and budget overruns.
- Support commissioning activities and regulatory processes as needed.
