Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service while managing their automotive service and repair needs. You will leverage your knowledge and experience in auto service writing and management to ensure that each customer receives accurate information and quality service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including oil changes, tire services, and diagnostics.
- Present results of digital vehicle inspections to customers and explain them in an effort to sell repairs and service work.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, services performed, and recommendations made.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Stay updated on automotive technology advancements and service techniques.
- Assist in managing the service department's workflow to optimize efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in independent repair shops.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Experience in auto service management or as a service technician is advantageous.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures.
