Purchasing / Buyer - Manufacturing (Raw Materials)

A manufacturing company in the Toledo, Ohio area is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing/Buyer to oversee the procurement of raw materials including resins, additives, and packaging components to support the supply chain and production flow.

Responsibilities

• Identify and purchase raw materials such as resins, additives, and packaging components
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely support of production operations
• Maintain and develop vendor relationships to ensure quality and reliability
• Track market trends and material costs to guide purchasing strategies
• Coordinate with internal departments to align procurement with production goals
• Review supplier performance and drive process improvements
• Manage purchase orders and related records accurately
• Proactively resolve any supply issues, delays, or shortages
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with raw material sourcing (resins, additives, etc.)
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred
