Essential/Core Job-specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Interviews patients, obtains vital signs, prepares patients and assists APRN with patient exams and/or treatment. Documents care provided in accordance with unit procedures.
- Receives, documents and implements/carries out physician/APRN orders in accordance with unit procedures. Provides and documents direct nursing care in accordance with unit procedures and approved Treatment Plans/physician's orders.
- Administers medication and documents administration in accordance with Agency procedures. Verifies proper identification of patient using two identifiers for each medication administration.
- Provides patient education (e.g., medication compliance, self-care skills, health maintenance, etc.), in compliance with treatment plan.
- Organizes Outpatient clinic in accordance with Physician / APRN guidance and direction. Stocks and reconciles clinic supplies (i.e., syringes, sharps containers, etc).
- Completes or coordinates processing of laboratory forms. Reviews and files lab results in accordance with unit procedures. Notifies physician / APRN of any abnormal findings.
- Ensure medication storage and disposal meet all required standards and policy.
Salary : $26 - $28
