Apartment Maintenance

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team in managing the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment complex. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of maintenance skills, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general repairs. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall functionality, safety, and aesthetics of the property.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of the apartment complex to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairing plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to extend their lifespan.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and property management in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all maintenance activities.
• Assist in the preparation of vacant units for new residents, including painting and renovations.
• Participate in on-call emergency maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.
• Make ready.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Competency in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Ability to use various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in maintenance work.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
