Shift: Graveyard (Monday night start) Monday-Thursday 9pm - 7am
**TRAINING SHIFT REQUIRED - Minimum of two weeks training on day shift schedule before working graveyard shift.**
Job Description:
The Lab Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide Mechanical Testing of extruded material in accordance with customer requirements and to the Aluminum Standards Association guidelines. As part of the Quality Department, the Lab Tech will also ensure that APEL’s activities are performed and documented in accordance with APEL’s quality requirements.

The Lab Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide Mechanical Testing of extruded material in accordance with customer requirements and to the Aluminum Standards Association guidelines. As part of the Quality Department, the Lab Tech will also ensure that APEL’s activities are performed and documented in accordance with APEL’s quality requirements.
Duties:
- Operating tensile testing equipment safely and accurately.
- Maintaining good understanding and the ability to train measuring techniques to adhere to the tolerances set forth by the Aluminum Standard Association.
- Conducting quality inspections on aluminum before, during and after all processing is completed.
- Retrieving and documenting data per our customers’ requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns.
- Maintaining a clean quality lab and manufacturing area.
- Promoting the highest quality product, assisting in the leadership and support of the Quality Management System.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Can demonstrate good organizational skills and technical capabilities.
- Has good basic math and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
Qualifications
- A High School Degree or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-year experiences in a manufacturing/production industry
