What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Clerk position at Aperion Care?
SUMMARY : The Admissions Clerk will assist the Admissions Director in preparation and review of patient referrals, conduct background checks as necessary, and maintain financial information in accordance with applicable facility guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assists with all incoming inquiries of prospective clients, loved ones and mental health / medical professionals with a sense of urgency and compassion.
- Obtains clinical information, medical, and financial information (as applicable) to determine appropriateness.
- Ensures resident background checks are completed in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Prepares and facilitates all aspects of the admissions process, including all intake paperwork.
- Abstract information from records as authorized / required for insurance companies.
- Provide residents with admission information packet (e.g., resident rights, notice of privacy practices, admissions contracts, etc.).
- Prepare monthly financial reports, and allocate funds as appropriate.
- Partner with Social Security Administration to get income diversions.
- Maintain strong working relationships with residents, family, and treating professionals.
- Other duties as assigned.
