Job Overview : Group sales managers are responsible for leading a sales team that services existing accounts and uses a variety of marketing and outreach strategies to generate and nurture new accounts. They also handle direct sales, engage in account management duties, and supervise a team of sales specialists and leaders.
Reports to : Director of Sales & Marketing
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Achieves or exceeds sales goals within their assigned market / territory.
- Establishes new client relationships and maintains existing relationships to maximize revenue.
- Responds to all incoming leads for business to secure opportunities and maximize revenue.
- Analyzes requirements of business opportunities.
- Researches and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
- Prepares booking reports and client data.
- Develops long-term relationships with clients or potential clients by maintaining consistent verbal and written communications and providing professional client service.
- Maintains detailed information about clients / prospective clients and enters data into property's computer systems.
- Attends Business Review Meetings and other required Internal Meetings.
- Participates in Tradeshows, conducts site visits, and client appointments.
- Responds to guest inquiries and coordinates special arrangements and requests.
