What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatch Coordinator position at Apet Inc.?
Private Carrier looking for a driven self-motivated individual to join our team. The candidate will report to our Transportation Manager and work closely to maintain a finely tuned operation. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced exhilarating environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Understand all federal, state and safety regulations as well as equipment requirements to assure safe, compliant, successful deliveries.
2. Assures adherence to our safety minded culture by addressing observable safety issues immediately through use of Live Video Alerts.
3. Coordinate all scheduled deliveries and pickups through communication with drivers, responding to potential delays and adjusting as needed.
4. Responsible to act promptly and responsibly with all information relevant to Apet’s operations including written notification following the proper management chain.
5. Communicate with staff in multiple departments including but not limited to Sales and purchasing relaying information regarding timeliness of deliveries and pickups.
6. Be able to fill in to cover delivery routes and local pickups.
Qualifications:
1. At least 1 year of verifiable dispatch or logistics experience.
2. Have valid Class D driver license with a clean record.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
4. Be able to lift in excess of 50lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
