Apex Applied Technology, Inc. (AATech) – Tucson, AZ AATech is a successful small engineering and business consulting firm based in Southern Arizona. With the fast growth of business, we are seeking a qualified professional to manage existing grant programs and develop new grants for our clientscollectively and independently. More importantly, we expect the individual in this position to help carry on and advance the company’s mission and vision into the future.
The qualified individual is expected to work independently in:
Researching opportunities, developing strategies for grant programs, develop grant applications, and meeting all grant deadlines.
Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data and other information provided throughout all grants applications.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, annual project/program reports, and other required reports per grant requirements.
Conducting feasibility studies for promising business opportunities, develop business plans, and organize business training.
Coordinating/facilitate meetings, site visits, and workshops. Prepare meeting documents including, but are not limited to, meeting agenda, sign in sheet, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and meeting minutes/summary, etc.
Maintaining a good document management system for all new and existing grant programs.
Creating and maintaining program websites using GoDaddy’s website building tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Agricultural Science/Engineering, or a related field.
2-3 years progam management and/or grant writing experience with private foundation, local, State, and/or Federal government contracts preferred.
Experience of managing a non-profit organization particularly with socially disadvantaged groups, fund raising, and organizing community event preferred.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and knowledge of AP Style Writing Guidelines.
Computer literacy; ability to use Windows-based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher) as well as customized internal systems such as grant tracking software and database management.
Ability to maintain composure, productivity, and meet deadlines in a high pressure environment with flexibility.
Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and grasp new overarching concepts while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
Efficient time management and innovative problem-solving skills.
Ability to build relationships with foundation representatives, agency representatives, volunteers, donors and community leaders.
