Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial services, industrial cleaning, and facilities maintenance, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and functional.
Duties
- Perform routine custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and stripping to ensure surfaces are well-maintained and presentable.
- Carry out residential painting tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Assist with industrial cleaning duties to uphold safety standards in work environments.
- Maintain cleanliness in outdoor areas by performing porter duties including trash removal and general upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform minor repairs as necessary.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
