What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Controls Panel Assembler position at APEX Controls, LLC?
Description:
Responsibilities:
- Previous electrical wiring experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics is highly preferred.
- Assist with assembly of high volume or custom panel build.
- Using hand and power tools to complete electrical tasks, such as but not limited to drilling and tapping holes, enclosure hole knock outs, cutting and installing duct cover and prepping electrical cabinets for installation.
- Wiring tasks such as crimping, cutting, ferruling and pinning.
- Pre-wiring of receptacles, push button boxes, transformers, gate switches and stacklights.
- Task aligned with building back panels such as panel layout, drilling and tapping holes, cutting, and mounting wire duct, installing electrical components.
- Labeling of terminals, wires and electrical components.
- Complete assigned projects in an efficient manner to customer specifications.
- Maintain station and shop organization and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- Basic Computer skills.
- Proven Mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to use hand tools such as tape measure, drill, saber saw, wire cutters, strippers, knockout, ect.
- Proven ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and direction.
- Dependability, strong work ethic and willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to determine colors and follow written work instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing (ladders, stairs, etc.)
- Bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting
- Extended periods of standing and walking
Education, Work Experience, and Skill Set Expectations:
- A high school diploma or GED required
