Medical Billing/Coding

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Knowledgeable of data and charge entry, payment postings- balancing on a daily and monthly basis for assigned clients.
• Customer service, phone calls, assists patients for payments and claim concerns such as insurance policies, deductibles, coverage, etc.
• Work with health insurance representatives of all payer types for patient claims payments, appeals, and statuses.
• Reports to Operations Director weekly.
• Respond to internal and external billing inquiries
• Conduct AR follow up of aged claims working with the AR Team
• Assist working all claim denials and necessities to submit claim appeals
• Other duties as assigned that support the goals and objective of Medetec in their effort to provide quality services to our clients and platinum level patient satisfaction
• Client relations, assist in resolving any recurrent billing and/or insurance payer issues

Qualifications:

• Documented experience and acuity using Medent EHR or other major EHR platforms (i.e.; eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Athena)
• 3 years’ experience in the medical billing environment
• Advanced knowledge of claim content and submission requirements
• Complete understanding of A/R and overall Revenue Cycle workflows
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding and modifier application along with understanding medical terminology
• ENT, Internal Medicine, and Family Medicine billing experience preferred
• Exquisite Phone and Customer service etiquette
• Must be detail and team oriented, well organized and a self-starter

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
