Apex is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented paralegal to join our legal team. We are open to candidates that plan to apply to law school, provided that they intend to enroll after Fall 2026.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the closing of corporate transactions, including preparation of signature page packets, tracking execution status of documents and the maintenance and organization of corporate closing rooms, whether physical or electronic.
  • Assist with tracking all deadlines related to legal reviews, negotiations and associated transactions, following up with internal and external parties as necessary.
  • Review and comment on non-disclosure agreements.
  • Conduct legal research on healthcare regulations, relevant legal issues and provide high-level summaries and insights to assist in decision-making.
  • Review and comment on non-disclosure agreements.
  • Prepare and maintain entity formation documents for limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate governance documents, including consents, resolutions and tax forms.
  • Draft legal documents and forms ranging from simple to sophisticated.
  • Proofread, format, edit, label and redact documents.
  • Prepare and submit bank and securities account opening documentation.
  • Perform other miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by attorneys.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department including document management, legal research and analysis, scheduling, external communication and general organizational duties.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top ranked institution.
  • Previous corporate paralegal experience in investment management or in a healthcare-related legal environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.
  • Must be flexible, able to respond quickly and efficiently to shifting demands and opportunities and able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks.
  • Must be team-oriented and communicate information effectively and in a succinct manner.
  • Ability to plan, organize and carry out multiple related activities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A motivated self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the role.

Salary : $50,000 - $100,000
