We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Support the purchasing team in managing inventory levels and ensuring timely procurement of materials.
- Utilize SAP ERP systems to track orders, manage vendor relationships, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipments and deliveries, ensuring that products arrive on schedule.
- Monitor e-commerce platforms for purchasing opportunities and trends that can benefit the company.
- Help maintain MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data to support production planning efforts.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Proficiency in using SAP ERP systems or similar software for procurement processes.
- Knowledge of logistics operations and production planning principles is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
